Gondaliya CPA

Last Updated: November 2, 2026

We want new clients to feel comfortable starting with us. This policy explains when Gondaliya CPA Professional Corporation (“the Firm”, “we”, “us”) may refund professional fees, and when it will not. Please read it fully before you sign your engagement letter. In this policy, “you” means the client and the corporation named in the engagement letter.

1. Who This Policy Covers

This policy applies only to engagements for the 2027 calendar year, meaning engagement letters signed on or after January 1, 2027. Engagements signed before January 1, 2027 are not covered, even if work or payment happens in 2027.

2. When a Refund Is Not Available

No refund is available once any work product has been prepared, delivered, filed or submitted. This includes, without limitation:

  • Any return or form filed or submitted to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), a provincial ministry or any other government body, including T2, T1, GST/HST, T4, T4A, T5, payroll remittances, information returns and elections.
  • Any draft or final financial statements, compilation reports, bookkeeping entries, reconciliations, working papers or tax schedules.
  • Any written tax advice, planning summary, CRA letter or correspondence prepared for you.

Work product counts whether or not you have reviewed, approved or used it.

3. How to Request a Refund

Your request must be made in writing by email to info@gondaliyacpa.ca within 30 days of the date of your payment. Please include your full name, corporation name, payment date, payment amount and the reason for your request. Phone calls, chats and verbal requests are not accepted as a request. Requests received after the 30-day window are refused.

4. What Is Refunded

If approved, the refund covers only the professional fees you paid to the Firm for the eligible engagement, less:

  • Third-party fees, software and subscription fees, and government or filing fees.
  • Disbursements and out-of-pocket costs.
  • The value of work already performed, including onboarding, consultations, document review, CRA authorization set-up and email support, at the Firm’s standard fees.
  • Payment processing costs, if any.

GST/HST is refunded only on the amount actually refunded.

5. Services Not Covered

This policy does not apply to incorporation services, nil or dormant corporation filings, resident director services, paid consulting retainers, government fees, or any service the engagement letter or invoice marks as non-refundable. It also does not apply to engagements priced under our 60-Day Fee Matching Policy or any other discount or promotion.

6. Other Situations With No Refund

  • Delays caused by you, including missing, late, incomplete or inaccurate documents or information.
  • Any CRA or government assessment, reassessment, review, audit, penalty, interest or other outcome.
  • The amount of any tax payable, refund, credit or saving.
  • Your account is past due, or you have started a chargeback or payment dispute.
  • You have breached your engagement letter, or the Firm has ended the engagement for cause.
  • A refund has already been issued to you, your corporation, a related or associated corporation, or any of its shareholders or directors.

7. One Refund Only

Only one refund is available per client and per corporation, at any time. Related and associated corporations, and their shareholders and directors, are treated as one client.

8. Firm Decision

The Firm decides eligibility, and the amount of any refund, at its sole discretion. Our decision is final. We may ask for more information before deciding.

9. How Refunds Are Paid

Approved refunds are paid only by Interac e-Transfer, to the email address on file for the client, generally within 30 days of approval. We do not refund by cheque, cash, wire, card reversal or any other method.

10. Effect of a Refund

When a refund is approved, the engagement ends and the Firm stops all work. From that date, you are solely responsible for all filing, payment and remittance deadlines and for appointing another accountant. Any CRA authorization given to the Firm may be removed.

A refund is a goodwill gesture. It is a full and final settlement of all fees for the engagement and is not an admission of any error, fault or liability by the Firm.

11. Not a Guarantee of Results

This policy relates only to our fees. It is not a guarantee of any tax result, refund, saving, CRA decision or business outcome.

12. Limit of Liability

The Firm’s total liability under this policy is limited to the amount of the refund, if any, approved under it.

13. Engagement Letter, Changes and Governing Law

If this policy conflicts with your engagement letter, the engagement letter governs. The Firm may amend, suspend or withdraw this policy at any time by posting the updated version on this page. The version posted on the date we receive your written request applies. If any part of this policy is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.

This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. The courts of Ontario sitting in Toronto have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about it.
